Lisa Drost, N.D.

Lisa Drost, ND is a 1990 graduate of University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. After completing her studies in finance, she spent ten years in sales, selling commercial alarms, surgical instrumentation and retail vitamin supplements. Working side by side with surgeons in the OR stimulated her interest in traditional medicine and the wonders of the human body. Combining that knowledge with her experience selling botanical and vitamin supplements encouraged her to find a way to put the two medicines together. After an additional year of science courses, she began her four years of post-graduate medical training. She is a graduate of Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, one of five accredited Naturopathic Medical Schools in North America and is currently licensed as a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) in the state of Vermont, a Licensed Dietician and Nutritionist (LDN) in the state of Illinois and a boarded Certified Nutritional Specialist (CNS).

Lisa works with patients to help each person reach their unique health goals. Her emphasis is in diet and lifestyle management as a means of getting back to the basics of healthy living. She also has a special interest in environmental medicine and detoxification. She is uniquely qualified as a Naturopathic Physician in the field of environmental medicine, having also completed additional training with Dr. Walter Crinnion, one the nation's leading experts in this field.  Through the use of nutrition and diet, Lisa helps guide patients on their individual journey back to health.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She is thrilled to be a mom to her daughter Kate, born summer of 2006. She is a novice beekeeper and is currently working on her first book that will include local and seasonal menus and recipes.
